5 Publish the Lecture

The process of publishing the lecture is automated by the LecCorder system, but first we must give the system information on where to publish the lecture (a standard web server).

Launch the publisher by clicking on the desktop icon "LecPublisher" and you will see the LecPublisher dialog box appear.

In Step 3 Launch Initializer, LecCorder has already captured the information needed to complete the "LecPublisher" dialog box. This utility will allow you to quickly and accurately complete the information requested by "LecPublisher".

To access this utility, click on the label "Configuration" just below the title bar, then click on "Load".

In the illustration below, LecCorder has found the correct configuration file. Click "Open"

Select C:\LecContent\my_first_presentation-30Apr1999 Note that LecCorder is looking for a file of type "LecPublisher configuration file (*.lpc)"

LecCorder automatically completes the information required in the "Lecture" and "Content" tabs.

The "LecPublisher" Upload tab will be completed with the exception of your "User login: and Password:" Complete these fields and click "Publish".

The "status" bar will display a list of files being transferred by the LecCorder system. When complete, status will report "Done".
